Some Frequently Asked Questions

I'm very pleased to hear lots of feedback messages from users, bloggers and analysts around the world, despite of the fact that it is, indeed, just a prototype with lots of gaps and room for improvement.

To help some of you, I've compiled a list of frequently asked questions:

1 - Is TweetzCloud free?
Yes

2 - Can TweetzCloud identify twits that use URL shorteners (like tinyUrl)?
Yes, we can index even URLs not linking directly to the final websites, but through redirects.

3 - Can I be sure that it will not miss any twits?
No, but it's unlikely. We query the search API every X seconds (amount depends on infrastructure capacity). If you're monitoring a highly active URL (like www.youtube.com), there may be twits that will not be captured by TweetzCloud. Today, if you are monitoring a URL with less than 5 twits/minute, it's safe to say that all twits pointing to it will be captured.

4 - Can I have a paid account with more precision (higher twits indexing frequency)?
No, sorry.

5 - Why is your English so bad?
It's true, so please help me sending feedback. Tks!

10x more indexing power

Backtype team (thanks Christopher) increased to 10.000 queries/day our limit to use their backtweets API, resulting in 10x more up to date indexing of twitter URL's. Hope you all like.

New feature: User's "fast facts"

Just added a new feature: Now if you click a username or picture, TweetzCloud shows a layer with fast "social media" facts about this user (number of followers, recent evolution, latest twits). I'm using twittercounter.com's API (great API by the way!). Check it out:

TweetzCloud: Rise!

Hi everyone,

I've just published a first "usable" version of TweetzCloud.

TweetzCloud allows you to monitor twitter for twits linking to your domains (or competitor's domains). After signing in, you can browse a list of all indexed domains, and add those you want to your personal selection list. Then, TweetzCloud will search for twits with links and display lists of twits, and graphs comparing impact of each domain inside twitter.

TweetzCloud uses Windows Azure and Sql Data Server. TweetzCloud also uses Backtype's innovative API (see more here: http://www.programmableweb.com/api/backtweets).

I've also submited tweetzcloud to Azure's International Developer's Challenge, and there's only one way to win: I need your vote ;-). If you like it, please go to http://www.newcloudapp.com/vote.html and make them know of it.

Tks,
